Born and raised in Texas, Matthew followed his journalism career to the UK to work for The Economist. After stints in the corporate world and as a CEO of an education non-profit, his search for truth in a post-truth world and love for America led him naturally to documentary films and Alamo Pictures. Combining a keen eye for a good story and a head for business, Matthew loves getting film projects off the ground, financed and then in front of the widest audience possible. He is also host and co-producer of Alamo Picture’s Factual America podcast, which shines a light on the US through the lens of documentary filmmaking.
